Ba Ria – Vung Tau aims for sustainable development, maintaining its position in the top 10 localities with the largest GRDP in the country
Goals:
- To build Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu into one of the important driving forces for development in the Southeast region, a national maritime economic center, and among the top 5 localities leading the development of the marine economy in the country.
- By 2030, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu will basically meet the standards of a centrally-run city, with a multi-center urban structure and a multimodal transport infrastructure.
- Maintain a firm position in the group of 10 localities with the highest GRDP and total state budget revenue in the country.
Development strategies:
- Develop 3 key economic axes in line with the port system and expressways:
- Industrial – logistics axis along the Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4: Develop large-scale industrial – service – urban complexes, high-tech industrial parks, new service urban areas, and logistics areas.
- Coastal tourism axis along provincial road DT994 and the connecting road to the Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu expressway: Develop a chain of tourism products for resort tourism, sea tourism, sports – entertainment tourism, cultural tourism, ecotourism, medical tourism, healthcare, and beauty care…
- Complete the expressway system, build new billion-dollar railways:
- Develop the national road network in the province, including: Biên Hòa – Vũng Tàu expressway, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4, National Highway 55, National Highway 56, National Highway 51, National Highway 51C.
- Build sections of national highways bypassing urban areas.
- By 2030, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu will have 22 provincial roads, including 12 existing roads and 10 additional roads according to the plan.
Expected results:
- Enhance the competitiveness of Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu, attract investment, create jobs, and promote economic growth.
- Create favorable conditions for Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu to become a leading maritime economic center, logistics center, and seaport in the region.
